Paying for Adobe Creative Cloud with a prepaid card
Adobe’s help pages don’t say whether prepaid bank cards work. They say credit cards are accepted for Creative Cloud in all supported countries, and advise using a payment method registered in the same country. When Adobe says “prepaid card”, it means its own scratch-off redemption card, which is a different product.
Adobe payment rules
Summarised from Adobe’s own help pages on 31 Oct 2026. Rules change, so open the source before you rely on it.
- Payment methods
- Credit cards for Creative Cloud memberships in all supported countries. PayPal in a few countries. Other options may be available where you live.
- Prepaid cards
- Not mentioned for bank cards. Adobe’s “prepaid card” is a redemption code under scratch-off foil that adds time to a subscription.
- Card and country
- Adobe’s advice is to verify that your payment method is registered in the same country.
- Card checks
- You may see a $1 transaction. Adobe says it confirms the card is valid, isn’t charged to your account, and is removed once the card company verifies the card.
- Where to change the card
- Adobe account → Plans and payment → Change payment
